Personal Approach
As a person-centred counsellor I believe everyone has the potential to change and grow, given the right conditions in which to do so. Using the words of the psychologist Carl Rogers “To be that Self that One Truly is”. I work humanistically and will incorporate other methods such as Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and if appropriate CBT. I am also happy using creative media if clients wish. Working within a client-led approach you will not be told what or how to but you will lead the work yourself, in your own time and at your own pace. There is no particular format or agenda – you determine how you wish your counselling to run and I work alongside you to help you achieve the goal or outcome you wish for yourself. Even the smallest of changes can be beneficial to your well being.
